Housing Etiquette
Dear Fellow Swing Dancers,
I'd like to welcome you all to Charleston for this year's Lindy Loves Soul! This
weekend is going to be lots of fun with lots dancing; however, we
couldn't do it without our hosts. We are very thankful that we have
such generous people who are willing to open their homes with
welcoming arms. Therefore, because we are so thankful, I'd like to go
over a few things with you:
1. Most importantly, please be very respectful of your fellow swing
friends (especially friends of the opposite gender) who will be
sharing a house with you.
2. Ensure that your space is neat and clean before your leave. Leave
the house just the way it was when you arrived.
3. Make sure you contact your host as soon as possible to determine
the amenities (ie bedding, etc) that will be provided. You may need to
bring your own sleeping bag. You will also have to work out the
details for the comings and goings into and out of the host's house.
You may need to obtain a key from the host.
4. We would encourage your to give the host some sort of token of
appreciation. Perhaps a box O' chocolates, wine, a teddy bear, maybe
even a photo of your grandma :)
Remember, be cool and have a good time.
Thanks.
Mike
