Welcome to Lindy Loves Soul, where our goal is to have people,
“Get your lindy groove on, without breaking the bank.” To change things up a bit, the folks that brought you the Charleston Lindy Exchange (CHEX1, CHEX2, and CHEX3) have decided to throw a laid back, fun Soul party for your dancing pleasure. Not only will you have a swell time, but it’s gonna be, …. er, shall we say, inexpensive, low-priced, low cost, economic, affordable, reasonable, reasonably priced, budget, economy, bargain. In others words, it’s gonna be cheap (e.g., At most, it’ll cost $30 for the whole weekend!).
So what will this weekend entail?, you ask. Well, it will be 2 nights/2days of just dancing (no workshops). We’re going to have some fabulous Soul DJ's that are excited about spinning for you, and we’re all going to get our groove on together! So, come on over to Charleston from December 4-6, 2009; it’s gonna be a great party!
We’ll be having our annual Semi-formal, Dress up and look good, Christmas party on Friday night, where we’ll be dancing to the energetic sounds of the New South Jazzmen (Note: they are more of a Dixieland jazz band but they’ll be playing some fun tunes, and Christmas music, as well). DJ Derrick Bellamy will be playing Soul music in between band sets. Our Saturday evening dance will be at our new venue: St. Julian Devine Community Center which will have traditional Swing music. However, for all of our late night dances and afternoon dances we’ll be swingin' to soul party music. That’s six dances for $30, or less. What a great deal!!!
We are looking forward to seeing y’all back in Charleston for our Lindy Loves Soul weekend. It’s gonna be a blast. See you there!
