December 4-Friday Evening Charleston Visitor Center-Our Christmas Dance!
Located downtown Charleston at 375 Meeting Street, Charleston, SC, 29401 (see map)
Conveniently located in the heart of Charleston’s historic railroad district, the Charleston Visitor Reception and Transportation Center is a beautifully restored 1857 railroad warehouse. Plus a fun and beautiful place to dance! Remember, You will be dancing to the great tunes of the New South Jazzmen!
Friday Night parking:
Free in the Bus shelter
$3 flat rate in the parking lot attached to the Visitor Center
Parking in the garage next door is $2 the first hour and $1 per hour after that, with a max of $10

One of our favorite dance places. They have been good to us over the years and now we will dance and eat if you want!

December 5-Saturday Evening-St. Julian Devine Center
This is our new weekly dance venue!
Located at One Cooper Street, off of East Bay street (See map)
We will be on the third floor of the building with a beautiful view of the Cooper River and the bridge! The dance floor is a smooth tile floor. St. Julian Devine Center is a city-owned community center. It is a brick building with very tall double smoke stacks near the entrance to the Arthur Ravenal Bridge on East Bay Street. If you are driving up East Bay Street toward the bridge, the building is on the left before the entrance to the bridge. It doesn't have a large sign, but you can't miss the very tall double smoke stacks! The entrance to the building is on Drake Street, near the corner of Cooper Street. There is parking lot next to the building and a gravel lot across Cooper Street.

"Lindy Loves Soul Committee is excited about having it's first 'Soul' Costume contest on Saturday, December 5th. You are encouraged to wear your costume at the Saturday evening dance but the actual contest will take place at the Saturday Late night dance. All creative and tasteful Soul costumes are encouraged. A small prize will be given to the winner".

Please note that the organizers just found out that the city of Charleston is having its annual Christmas parade downtown this Sunday from 2-4pm. Please note that King Street will be closed down and parking will be a challenge, especially for those who had wanted to sleep in and come out later. Um, I'd advise against that. lol
We recommend that you plan on arriving downtown at least by 11am and find parking wherever you can and then just walk to the Majestic Grill.
